Drown to screen at The 8 Fest in Toronto

Pretty stoked to announce that Drown is set to screen at The 8 Fest on January 24-26, 2014 at SPK Polish Combatants Hall, 206 Beverley Street, Toronto.

This film was originally shot on Max 8 (Super 8mm celluloid) by Chrystene Ells & Berny Hi for the One Take Super 8 Event 2013, meaning that it was shot without edits and was screened for the first time to the filmmakers with a live audience. (More on the event)

For this particular film, we decided to do the narration first and shoot around the timing of the story. It was definitely interesting working this way, as usually sound comes during or after production, but I think it made it easier to do the in-camera editing.
